I was looking up browsing through the Concordance to check a certain verse about Love… All through my life, I always yearn for something revolutionary; may it be an idea, principle, thought, imagination, or something like that. I love and take delight in discovering facts & truth that would surprise and definitely disturb me, positively (wink). So! Something caught my sight when I noticed a particular verse, it’s 2 Corinthians 5:15.
Check it out and help yourself.
It’s a remedy to all the problems & struggles & battles of life. And that’s what caught my attention.
“For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died in substitute for all, therefore all have died; and he died in substitute for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him, who for their sake died and was raised.”
For the love of Christ controls us, makes us intact, makes us whole, complete, at rest, secured, fulfilled. It is that kind of love that empowers, strengthens, enables. And this love is the very source of our life and everything!
Apart from the love and presence of God,
we are not intact,
we are not whole,
we are incomplete,
we are restless,
we are insecure about a lot of things,
we have no fulfillment,
we are weak,
we are powerless,
we are disabled,
and above all, we are lifeless.
The battles in our life are not just about relationships, death and money, the real battle is the battle we have within.
You can never ever overcome your public battles if deep inside, you’re torn apart.
For the love of Christ alone can hold our beings and prepare us for whatever comes along. Apart from that love, we can never be secured.
So the very reason why we go through life empty, insecure, unfulfilled, restless & directionless, is merely because we haven’t yet exhausted our hearts with the full length, height, depth, and width of the love of Jesus, & we forgot to personalise that love.
People’s love disappoints, but the love of our Heavenly Father reappoints.
This is the day that the Lord has made, I will be glad and rejoice in it because Jesus Christ has revealed His love once more, and this time, it’s getting deeper and deeper each day.
Love, Faith, and Hope… But the greatest among them, is Love. It holds. It controls. It directs. It approves. It protects. It vindicates. It satisfies.. and it’s more than enough for me.
